Things to note when using these credit cards

  1. For some cards that reward you specifically for dining, like the Citi Cash Back Card and the DBS Eminent cards, do note that certain expenditure is not counted as dining. For example, hotel, banquet services, private functions and private room events may not be considered dining. Food and beverage services provided by department stores, associations and clubhouses will also not be counted as dining.
  2. For some cards, you will only see your cashback rebates when you have earned a certain amount . For the Citi Cash Back Card, you will only receive your cashback rebates when you have earned HK$200 in rebates.
  3. Always remember to pay your credit card bill in full and on time. There’s no point earning cashback rebates if you’re going to be spending more than you earn in interest.
