Quick heads up: With the BOC Chill Card, both main cardholders and extra cardholders can pool their spending to earn rewards. But not all transactions count, like cash advances, Octopus top-up service, or annual fees.
About that welcome offer: If you’ve already got a BOC Credit Card or BOC Dual Currency Credit Card—main card, extra card, business card—or you’re part of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, sorry, no welcome deal for you. The same goes if you’ve cancelled or had those cards in the last year.

BOC Chill Card: 10% cash rebate on designated spending categories
With your BOC Chill Card, you can score 10% cashback on purchases at “Chill Merchants,” up to HK$150 per month. These Chill Merchants cover a range of categories, including fast-food, dining, entertainment, leisure, and streaming brands. The promotion period is from 1 January until 30 June 2024.
Be reminded that the 10% cash rebate includes the earning of 1 Gift Point upon HK$1 spending from BOC “Gift Point Rewards” (equivalent to 0.4% cash rebate). The Extra cash rebate is 9.6% per month.

BOC Chill Card: 5% cash rebate on overseas spending and online shopping
For sverseas retail spending made at overseas merchants and settled in foreign currency, and online retail spending conducted via online channels (whether local or overseas), card holders can also earn a 5% cash rebate.
Same as “10% cash rebate”, 5% cash rebate includes the earning of 1 Gift Point upon HK$1 spending from BOC “Gift Point Rewards” (equivalent to 0.4% cash rebate). The Extra cash rebate is 4.6% per month.
BOC Chill Card: 10%/5% monthly cash rebate cap
The total maximum reward under eligible 10% cash rebate on designated spending categories, 5% cash rebate on overseas spending and online shopping is HK$150 per month for each credit card account.
For Example, you’ll earn the maximum rebate by spending HK$1,563 on designated spending categories each month, or by spending HK$3,261 on overseas spending and online shopping if you solely spend on one of the categories.
Eligible Transactions
Eligible Transactions include retail transactions and the spending via mobile payment (includes Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay), but excludes Alipay HK and WeChat Pay transactions, amount redeemed under “Instant Reward” transactions, Cash Advances, Cash Before Card amounts, balance transfer amounts, autopay transactions, Octopus Add Value/Automatic Add Value transactions, instalment transactions (including but not limited to cash instalments, statement instalments, online bill payment instalments and monthly payments of merchant interest-free instalments), annual fees, finance charges, arrangement fees, payments for public utilities/bill payments (including but not limited to payments for tax, telecommunication, membership fees, educational institution fees/tuition fees, rental or utilities bills), transactions via online banking bill payment, online payment system payments to designated merchants (including but not limited to PayPal or Alipay), purchases and/or reloads of stored value cards/gift cards or e-wallets, product/service transactions at financial/non-financial institutions (including but not limited to deposits, purchases of foreign currency, money transfers, speculation transactions, insurance transactions, mutual fund payments and stock monthly contribution and property purchases), casino and gambling transactions, transactions for charity donations and to non-profit organisations, person to person (P2P) fund transfers via mobile device/app/electronic platforms, any other transactions without sales slips, any unauthorised transactions and any other categories as may be defined by The Company at its sole discretion from time to time.
