Who’s not coming back for Sex Education Season 4 cast?
Well, regarding the cast, we have some bittersweet news. Unfortunately, we’ll be saying goodbye to some familiar faces this season.

Olivia, played by the talented Simone Ashley, won’t be returning. She’s off to grace the screens of “Bridgerton” instead. But that’s not all; Patricia Allison, who portrays the wonderful Ola, won’t be joining the team for the new season either. And Tanya Reynolds, who plays Ola’s love interest, Lily, will also be bidding farewell.
It’s a pity to see the old faces go, but we still have good news for this season! The core gang is still intact and ready to make us laugh, cry, and cringe. Asa Butterfield is back as our beloved Otis, and Gillian Anderson will reprise her role as Jean, Otis’ unconventional yet lovable sex therapist mother. (Phew, we couldn’t imagine the show without them!)
Ncuti Gatwa will be returning as the fabulous Eric, and Connor Swindells will grace our screens once again as Adam. Aimee-Lou Wood (Aimee), Kedar Williams-Stirling (Jackson), Dua Saleh (Cal), Mimi Keene (Ruby), Chinenye Ezeudu (Viv), and George Robinson (Isaac) are also making a comeback, ensuring that the halls of Moordale Secondary remain as vibrant and entertaining as ever.
In addition to our favourite familiar faces, we have some exciting new additions to the cast. The talented Jodie Turner-Smith, known for her role in “Queen & Slim,” will be joining the show in a mysterious new role that promises to shake things up for Eric.
And here’s a cherry on top of the Sex Education cake: Dan Levy, Emmy award winner and star of “Schitt’s Creek,” will be joining the school as author and professor Thomas Molloy.
Recap of Sex Education Season 3
As we eagerly await the release of Sex Education season 4, let’s take a quick trip down memory lane and recap the dramatic Season 3. Moordale Secondary School, the show’s beloved setting, announced its closure and impending sale to property developers, leaving the students in a state of uncertainty.
But that’s not an easy time for our characters either. Maeve finally got together with Otis, but her decision to study in the U.S. threw their relationship into doubt. Meanwhile, Jean gave birth to a premature baby girl, Joy, and a paternity test revealed shocking results, suggesting that her partner Jakob isn’t the father.
Three couples, Eric and Adam, Aimee and Steve, and Jackson and Cal, broke up, while Lily and Ola made amends after an argument. However, Adam’s mother, Maureen, chose not to reconcile with her former partner, ex-Moordale headmaster Michael, leaving their relationship in limbo.
With these dramatic cliffhangers, we can’t wait to see how the final season will resolve these storylines.

So, what’s new in the upcoming Sex Education Season 4?
After the closure of Moordale, season 4 sees the characters move to the “high-tech and progressive” Cavendish Sixth Form College, where they struggle to fit in. Otis tries to set up a new sex therapy clinic but faces competition from a rival student. Back home, he is adjusting to no longer being an only child and trying to juggle his long-distance relationship with Maeve, who is being tutored by cult author Thomas Molloy at a top US university.
Fan favorite Aimee is feeling equally lost without Maeve, her closest friend, and getting used to single life after her breakup with Steve. She decides to try something new and express herself by studying art.
In short, the coming season is packed with fresh faces, new settings, and unexpected plot twists. It’s a whole new journey ahead.
